KEC International Ltd. has bagged orders worth US$123 million in India and Brazil for constructing transmission lines.

A turnkey contract for construction of 400 kv transmission lines in Maharashtra State.

SAE Towers, the wholly-owned subsidiary of KEC International, has secured a US$41million tower supply order in Brazil.

RPG Group company, KEC International, on Thursday said it has completed the acquisition process of US-based SAE Towers, along with its subsidiary firms in Brazil, Mexico and America.

KEC acquired Texas-based SAE Towers for $95 million on a cash-free and debt-free basis. SAE is a leading manufacturer of steel lattice transmission towers and its acquisition was strategic to KEC, as it will help the company enter more geographies and help its overseas business grow up by 15-20 per cent.

KEC acquired Jay Railway Signalling, an Indian company, for close to barely a week after sealing the buy-out of SAE Towers Holdings.

The RPG Group company is a dominant player in T&D and telecom infrastructure and is now eyeing the huge business potential in railway infrastructure, where it is already present in the electrification segment, having electrified 5000 KM of the Indian railways.
